John Snyder, musician, composer/performer, as well as Soaring Crane Qi Gong instructor, is interested in the possibility of the use of sound and music to facilitate healing & transformation. He has been a teacher most of his adult life, having taught both French & German in public high schools, analog synthesizer techniques privately, as well as Aboriginal didjeridu playing techniques privately, at the New York Open Center, Juilliard, and at various workshops around the USA.
Since 1992 John has been studying and practicing Soaring Crane Qi Gong under the guidance of masters Rong-er Shen and Yi Wu of the Qi Gong Center of New York City. He has also undertaken their extensive teacher training program and has been certified by master Shen, principal instructor for North America, as a Soaring Crane Qi Gong instructor, after much supervised teaching experience both at the New York Open Center and at the Qi Gong Center of NY. John is currently a professional member of the National Qi Gong Association. John has also had exposure to a variety of other qi gong practices and continues to respect the relative simplicity and comprehensive nature of Soaring Crane Qi Gong.
